Newborn essentials

 Hi guys 😊 becoming a new parent it can get expensive, so it  pays to know what you should spend your money on, especially if you are on a budget.  Here is a shopping list with newborn essentials : 
  1. SLEEP SUITS- buy around 10 size newborn and the rest 0 to 3 months because they grow very fast you will be amazed 
  2. SHORT SLEEVES BODY SUITS-again buy 10 size new born and the rest 0 to 3 months
  3. COTTON HATS- 3 size newborn  
  4. SOCKS -maybe 5 because if you have your newborn in sleep suits they don`t need socks
  5. BIBS -about 10 because they spit a lot 
  6. MUSLIN CLOTHS - buy 10 and i recommend the extra large ones because you can use them to swaddle you baby as well 
  7. THERMOMETERS -for body room and water this is very important 
  8. BABY BATH -your choice 
  9. TOWELS - 3 hooded ones 
  10. BABY GROOMING SET
  11. HEAD TO TOE WASH 
  12. EXTRA LARGE COTTON BALLS 
  13. NAPPY CREAM 
  14. CHANGING MAT 
  15. BABY WET WIPES - i used WATER WIPES they are a bit expensive but the best for a newborn skin i used them in hospital and when i went out at home you use cotton balls and water
  16. NAPPIES -size 1 
  17. COT BED AND MATTRESS - i think that is better to buy a cot bed for the nursery if you have one because it has 3 levels and you can make it a bed later on, for the first 6 months you can use a moses basket or a small crib because the baby has to be in the same room with you 
  18. SHEETS - for your cot bed or moses basket or a small crib 
  19. BLANKET -cellular blankets take care not to let your baby overheat 
  20. MUSICAL MOBILE -optional 
  21. DUMMIES -optional 
  22. NAPPIES BAGS -optional 
  23. STERILISER-this is important if you breast-feed or bottle-feed or dummies, for the first 6 months you have to sterilise every thing that goes to your baby mouth 
           IF YOU BREAST-FEED ESSENTIALS : 
  1. NURSING BRAS OR NURSING VESTS 
  2. BREAST PADS
  3. NIPPLE CREAM 
  4. ELECTRIC EXPRESSING MACHINE
  5. FREEZER BAGS
  6. FEEDING BOTTLES 
         IF YOU BOTTLE-FEED ESSENTIALS : 
  1. FEEDING BOTTLES
  2. BOTTLE BRUSH 
  3. WASHING-UP BOWL
  4. KETTLE

How to make elderflower champagne

It is elderflower season and nothing can be more refreshing than a nice cold glass of low alcohol champagne made just with few ingredients. Elderflower wilts quickly so make it as soon as possible.  INGREDIENTS  • 5 L water bottle  • 5 elderflower flowers fully opened with lots of pollen and make sure you don't wash them  • 1 lemon peeled than sliced  • 10 tablespoons of sugar • very small pinch of yeast  METHOD  1. Take out about a cup of water out of the water bottle.  2. Add the sugar and yeast to the bottle and shake until the sugar is dissolved.  3. Add the sliced lemon than the elderflower flowers, put the lid on and shake the bottle once then place it into a bright warm place with the lid off , just cover briefly . 4. Little Red Riding Hood story map

Hi everyone 😊 long time since I wrote something 😁 and to be honest I don't know were to start 🙃. This pandemic turned everything a bit upside down and apart from homeschooling, cooking, cleaning and gardening I haven't done much. Over the summer holiday my son had some homework to do in which was required to draw some story maps for some fairytales and I looked everywhere for some inspiration but I didn't found anything helpful that's way I decided to post what my son did , maybe will help give you some ideas 😊 .
