How to fry tofu

INGREDIENTS: 

  • 1 block of tofu aprox 500 g 
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 tbs cornstarch 
  • oil for frying
METHOD:

  1. Remove the tofu from the packet and leave it to drain on a strainer for 30 minutes 
  2. Into a bowl mix the cornstarch, salt and pepper
  3. Take the tofu cut it into small cubs or any other shape and coat with the mix of cornstarch, salt and pepper
  4. On a large frying pan heat some oil and lay the tofu on one side, fry for 3 minutes on a medium-high heat then turn on the other side and fry for 3 minutes
  5. Place the fried tofu an a plate lined with kitchen towel and enjoy 
I like to eat my tofu with kimchi or stir fry with vegetables
