Homemade savory cheddar cheese and caraway seeds biscuits
INGREDIENTS
I made mine by hand but it will be easy if you have a standing mixer 😀 .
- 400 g strong white flour
- 1 egg
- 150 g butter
- 1 tbs caraway seeds
- 1/2 tbs salt
- 200 g cheddar cheese grated
- 7 g yeast
- extra 1 egg and grated cheese to decorate
I made mine by hand but it will be easy if you have a standing mixer 😀 .
- Place all the ingredients into a bowl and start mixing in till everything comes together and you have a dough .
- Cover the bowl with clingfilm and let it rest for 30 min .
- After 30 min preheat your oven at 180℃ and line your baking trays with baking paper .
- Take the dough out and roll it until is about 1/2 cm thick, then take your cookie cutters and start cutting out the biscuits and place them on the lined trays, brush them with egg and sprinkle some grated cheese on top or any cheese, i used feta . Don`t waist the remaining dough , roll and cut until you have no more dough .
- Place the trays in the oven and bake in till lightly brown .
