Monday tradition seaweed soup my recipe

Hi guys 😊 seaweed soup has become one of my favourite soups, it has so many good health benefits i had to make it a once a week think . I make it with dry wakame which is a sea vegetable with a briny flavour and slightly chewy and slippery texture.

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 tbs dry wakame
  • 2 cups water
  • 3 sliced mushrooms
  • 2 cloves of garlic mince
  • 1 teaspoon fish sauce
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon fermented soy bean paste
METHOD
  1. Soak the dried seaweed for about 30 min in cold water to rehydrate from this
     to this
  2. Add the water to a pan and bring it to boil . Drain your seaweed and add it to the pan, lower the heat and boil, covered for 30 min .
  3. After 30 min add your sliced mushrooms and garlic, cover and boil for another 5 min.
  4. In the last 2 min of boiling add all your aromatics fish sauce, soy sauce and soy paste and the salt if needed, mix and is ready to serve .
Sometimes i like mine spicy and i add 1/2 teaspoon of red chili paste also known as gochujang and it gives a nice colour as well 😉 . Hope you guys enjoy it and let me know if you tried it as well 😊 😗 💋 💖
